Route steps and subgrid points

Inspect the small pieces of a routed line and adjust their paths.

Purpose and use

A step is a grid-square segment owned by an edge or flag lead. Selecting a routed step exposes its Step number, Cell coordinates, any routing failure, and Point offsets. Add point extends its subgrid path; Remove last point removes the final point. Point controls adjust local line geometry, not the cable endpoint.

Caveats

Step editing is a fine-grained drawing operation. Regenerating the route can replace its generated geometry, so review route locking if you need to retain manual work. A Routing failure value is diagnostic information, not a cable-label value. Crossing-specific controls appear only where a step carries a jump. See [ Crossings and jumps ] and [ Lock and reset routes ].
