Cable tables: sorting and selection

Use sortable table headings without confusing the view with saved physical order.

Use

Cable workflow tables have sortable headings for groups, inventory, physical ports, formats, proposed labels, manual labels, and colors. Left-click a heading to cycle its term through ascending, descending, and removed. Terms on other columns remain active, allowing a multi-column sort in activation order. Right-click a heading removes its term. Search narrows matching rows. Ordering and color stages provide row-selection controls suited to their actions.

Caveat

Sorting changes the view, not the physical numbering order. To change the saved sequence, use the explicit ordering drag or earlier/later controls. Sorting a manual label table does not renumber its values. Always review source, destination, and proposed values before Apply Auto Increment.
