Preview and apply automatic cable numbering

Generate labels in physical order and review proposals before committing.

Use

Auto Increment lists source and destination identifiers and ports, previous label parts, proposed label parts, and a preview. Configure formats, resolve group choices, and inspect the proposals. Apply Auto Increment (Continue) commits the numbering when ready. Swap reverses source and destination for a connected cable; reservations have no destination to swap.

Preservation and conflicts

Renumber existing labels is off by default: authored numbers and gaps remain fixed while new labels are assigned around them. Enabling it renumbers existing labels too. A provisional preview contains only resolved labels and may change as choices are completed. Linked-label disagreements, occupied linked numbers, or overflow prevent application rather than partially changing labels. See [ Resolve numbering group conflicts ] and [ Link ports to share cable numbers ].
