Edit a connection route

Choose route turns, undo a turn, and commit or cancel a manual path.

Use

Select a connection and choose Edit route. Move the pointer to preview the route and click to add a turn. Backspace removes the most recent turn. Enter commits the route. Escape cancels the active edit. Finish the route session before starting unrelated drawing changes.

Caveats

The route is geometry, not a new connection: the original endpoint ports remain connected. Lines leave ports horizontally and route around device geometry. Locked routes and step-level adjustments have their own behavior. Use [ Lock and reset routes ] to control regeneration, [ Route steps and subgrid points ] for subgrid details, and [ Crossings and jumps ] for jump presentation. A generic routing demonstration does not reproduce every possible obstacle or failure.
