Inspector and selection properties

Edit the objects selected on the canvas, or create objects when nothing is selected.

Use

Select an item and open View > Inspector or press I. Hide Inspector or I closes it. Properties follow the selected entity: device, port, edge, step, flag, talk, background, or page. More than one selection can expose several property sections. Expand metadata and user-field headings to see less common controls.

Empty selection and editing

With nothing selected, Create node, Create annotation, Create background, Import image, and + Add page start creation workflows. Click numbers to type or use dragging and -/+ adjustments. Editing saved project properties participates in history. Inspector pushes canvas aside in User Preferences changes its layout, not the drawing.
