Reuse devices and connected assemblies

Use selections, clipboard history, and saved blueprints to avoid repetitive drawing.

Reuse devices and connected assemblies

Reuse now

Select complete canvas objects, then Copy or Duplicate. Paste begins a placement preview rather than immediately adding objects. Shift+Scroll browses clipboard history while placing. The Clipboard History window shows earlier copies newest first. See [ Copy, cut, duplicate, and blueprint a selection ] and [ Clipboard History ].

Build a library

Use Blueprint from selection to make a reusable draft. Give it a Blueprint name, edit its devices and ports, and Save to library. Browse shows Saved blueprints and Project nodes; Place uses a source, while Fork opens a draft you can change. Add blueprint combines reusable pieces in the draft. See [ Blueprint draft workspace ] and [ Browse saved blueprints and project nodes ].

Replacement is not synchronization

Update from Blueprint replaces a selected device using an eligible one-device blueprint. Existing connected edges are removed with the old device. This is not a live link that automatically updates every placed copy. Review the result and use [ Undo, redo, and branches ] if the replacement is unsuitable.
