Delete selected drawing entities

Remove devices, connections, annotations, backgrounds, or flags without confusing page deletion.

Use

Select entities and press Delete when no other edit is active. The deletion workflow handles selected nodes, talks, backgrounds, flags, and edges. Delete edge in the connection Inspector is an explicit single-edge action. Deleting a device also affects connections that depend on its ports; review the resulting topology.

Other deletion contexts

Pages use Delete page and contents. Draft ports use Remove. Clipboard entries, user fields, cable groups, and frontmatter boxes each have their own remove actions. Deleting an item in one of those lists is not the same as a canvas Delete. Use Undo while history is available.
