Rich-text editing and formatting

Style selected text or set the style for subsequent typing.

Use

Expand Text formatting above a rich-text field where that toolbar is offered, such as frontmatter text, the project name, and Summary metadata. Select a text range and choose Bold, Italic, Underline, Font size, Font family, or Custom text color. With no selection, the chosen format sets the typing style. Existing unselected text keeps its own runs. A size of 0 and an empty family use defaults; turning off custom color returns to inherited color. Ordinary Inspector text fields, including annotation Text, do not offer this toolbar.

Editing and caveats

The multiline editor supports ordinary selection, navigation, and clipboard editing. Undo and redo while typing operate on the text session before document history navigation. The editor's text capacity is 65535 bytes. Current native previews may not match every project-font export detail; inspect output and load required project fonts.
