Add, name, reorder, and remove frontmatter boxes

Build the shared information-band structure used by the project's pages.

Use

Choose + Add box, then select it in Boxes. Box name names the editor entry; it is not automatically the printed content. Content and Appearance separate the box's data from its shared presentation. Move up and Move down reorder it; Remove deletes the box from the shared layout.

Shared structure

Boxes and their order are shared across pages. Page text and image overrides provide page-specific content inside those boxes. Default layouts can include a logo, company information, drawing title, date, revision notes, information boxes, and a sheet number. Removing or changing a content type is a structural edit, so review every affected page. See [ Choose frontmatter content type ] and [ Frontmatter box size, spacing, and alignment ].
