Reassign or swap connection endpoints

Change actual source or destination ports from the cable review controls.

Use

In Cable labels, select a connection and expand Reassign / swap endpoint where offered. Edit source (otherwise destination) chooses which end is being edited. Move to buttons offer unused sibling ports on that endpoint's own device; click the button naming the desired port. This control does not select a port on an arbitrary device or exchange occupied connections. Swap or Swap sides reverses source and destination for the connection.

Effect and caveats

Reassignment changes actual connectivity, unlike label placement. Review source and destination names, route geometry, cable group resolution, and reservations afterward. Swapping direction can also alter numbering-order interpretation. Reservations can be adopted with Use reservation when offered.
