Link ports to share cable numbers

Make related physical ports or cable labels use a shared number during numbering.

Use

In Ordering, Ctrl-click two ports and choose Link selected ports. The selected-port preview shows Shares number with for existing links. Unlink this port removes the port's link. Linking unused ports can reserve a shared number before cables are connected.

Effect and caveats

A link shares numbering, not a drawn connection or merged device. Linked existing labels and generated proposals must be compatible. If linked labels disagree, review their authored values or unlink them before numbering. Linked-number conflicts are not fixed by sorting the table.
