Redline is a desktop editor for IT and AV system diagrams. Your drawing files stay on your computer.
Install a release
Open Downloads, choose your operating system, and read the release's requirements. Historical versions and SHA-256 checksums are listed alongside the latest release.
Windows releases use MSI installers. Linux releases may include a standalone binary, DEB, or RPM. macOS packages appear when available.
Prepare your account
- Request access during closed beta. Once approved, accept your WorkOS application invitation and sign in using an email code. No password is required.
- Every new account automatically gets a 30-day trial from account creation. No card, company or paid seat is required. Signing in again never restarts the trial.
- On the desktop welcome screen, sign in through your browser and confirm the displayed device code. Select Your account trial. Redline remembers a renewable session, not your password. Alternatively, use an offline license key. Continue without signing in to view and export projects without editing.
Company membership and a paid seat are separate. Even a company owner needs an assigned seat to author drawings.
Paid purchases are a separate choice; account trial signup does not authorize automatic billing. New paid desktop activation is not yet enabled. There is no referral quota.
Next steps
- Learn how accounts and billing work.
- Follow the offline licensing guide for a disconnected workstation.
- Get familiar with systems and sheets.
