Select canvas objects

Select individuals, toggle membership, or draw a selection rectangle.

Use

Click an object to select it. Ctrl-click toggles the hovered objects in the selection. Drag from empty canvas to make a selection rectangle. Ctrl+A selects drawing entities, including connections; pages and individual ports are not a page-layout move selection. Clicking a selected movable object can drag the existing selection rather than replacing it.

Context and clearing

Ports start connection gestures; connections and steps expose connection or route properties instead of a device-body drag. Overlapping entities can produce more than one selected item. Use Inspector to review what is selected, or the action wheel to choose a context. Escape cancels active gestures and clears selection.
