Choose colors and transparency
Use palette swatches or a custom hue, saturation, value, and alpha.
Use
Open a color control on text, a background, border, flag, or connection. Preset colors provides palette swatches, which keep the current alpha. The custom picker uses a hue ring and a central saturation/value square. Alpha controls transparency from 0, fully transparent, to 255, opaque. Done closes the picker; Escape or an outside press dismisses it. Applied color edits are not rolled back simply by closing the picker.
Inheritance
Custom text color and Custom edge color enable explicit overrides. Disabling an override is different from choosing a transparent color: it allows normal inherited styling or group rules to apply again. In Cable labels > Colors, Clear override removes an individual connection color. See [ Connection color rules and overrides ] and [ Rich-text editing and formatting ].
