Frontmatter visibility, side, and thickness

Choose where the information band appears and whether its size is shared or local.

Use

Open Frontmatter and choose a page. Show frontmatter toggles that page's band. Left side, Right side, Top, and Bottom place it along the chosen edge. Shared band thickness is measured in grid squares. Override thickness on this page enables Page band thickness for the selected page.

Effect

The band sits within the page with layout margins. Left/right bands stack boxes vertically; top/bottom bands arrange them horizontally. Thickness changes the band's cross-axis size, while relative box weights divide its length. Hiding a band preserves its configured boxes and content. Export's Include frontmatter is an additional output choice.
